MADISON, WI (WSAU) The Speaker Pro Tem of the Wisconsin Assembly says he has been carrying a concealed weapon during floor sessions. Bill Kramer of Waukesha presides over the chamber, is responsible for upholding its decorum and can order spectators to leave.

He says he got his concealed weapon permit before last Thanksgiving and has carried a concealed Glock 26 on the Assembly floor at times.  He says he has no desire to use the weapon, but thinks he’s probably not the only lawmaker carrying a concealed gun in the chamber – given the toxic atmosphere at the state Capitol this year.
