Stevens Point native Suzy Favor-Hamilton has spent the past year as a high-priced escort in Las Vegas. The Smoking Gun broke that news saying she used the alias of Kelly Lindy but shared her true identity with several male clients. She admitted her work as an escort to a reporter, saying it provided an escape from a life she was struggling in. Favor-Hamilton also says her husband tried hard to get her to stop the double life.

The former UW track star and Olympian says she realizes she has made several irrational choices and takes full responsibility for them. She says it provided many coping mechanisms during times of severe depression. Favor-Hamilton is seeking help from a psychologist, and intends to get back to (quote) “being a good mother, wife, daughter, and friend.”
