MERRILL, WI (WSAU) -  A fund has been set up for a Lincoln County veteran who lost his home to a fire. Kenny Gano’s mobile home burned December 8th in the Town of Birch northeast of Merrill. A Fire Benefit Fund has been set up at River Valley Bank, Merrill, WI to assist the family.

Investigators believe the fire started in a wall, and was probably an electrical issue. There was no insurance on the structure. Gano and his two daughters were not injured, but lost everything in the fire.
