WESTON, Wis (WSAU) The strip-mall near St. Clare’s Hospital that burned on Saturday re-ignited last night. Firefighters were called back to the scene around 11pm, and took about an hour to put out the new fire.
Fire investigators say some of the wreckage was still smoldering when firefighters left the scene on Sunday. They believe some hot embers were trapped underneath the wreckage.
Only one of the storefronts was occupied at the time of the fire. The rest of the strip-mall was empty. The cause of the initial blaze is still being investigated.
