RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) - The Rhinelander man accused of stabbing his estranged wife last February will have a jury trial.
38 year old Shannon Wolf of Rhinelander faces charges of strangulation and suffocation, battery, use of a dangerous weapon and first degree reckless endangerment, plus an attempted homicide charge. He allegedly forced a car to pull over, and attacked a woman riding in that car near the Hodag statue in Rhinelander. The woman recovered from the wounds. Wolf’s attorney John Voorhees requested a jury trial for his client in Oneida County Court Tuesday. Judge Patrick O’Melia set a deadline for all motions for January 11th and the beginning of the jury trial for March 18th. Wolf remains in custody, unable to post a 25-thousand dollar cash bond.
