RHINELANDER, Wisc (WSAU) Two northern school districts will be asking the public for more money.

Last night the Rhinelander Board of Education finalized the details of their school referendum. The request is to go over their spending limit by $4-million over the next three years. The voters will decide on February 19th. If the referendum fails, the district's charter school will be closed and other electives and extra-curricular activities will be cut.

The Northland Pines school district will also have a referendum in February. They'll be asking for an additional $2.7-million in spending authority over the next three years. There will also be a separate question on the ballot for $240,000 for fire-safety improvements to the elementary school.
