MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - It appears that Milwaukee is about to break a record for the most consecutive days without measurable snow.

The record is 279 days, set in 1999. And the forecast does not call for anything more than a chance of snow and other precipitation at least through Sunday, when the new record could be set.

Milwaukee’s last measurable snow came on March 4th, when nine-tenths-of-an-inch came down.

Things cooled down Tuesday, after Milwaukee set a new record high of 65 degrees on Monday. Madison and La Crosse had their highest temperatures ever for a December. It was 65 in Madison on Monday, and 64 in La Crosse.

Wednesday’s highs are not expected to get out of the 30’s. Mixed precipitation is in the statewide forecast for Wednesday night and Thursday.
