PRESCOTT, WI (WTAQ) - A Minnesota man killed in a car-truck crash in far western Wisconsin has been identified as 22-year-old Matthew Amos of the Twin Cities’ suburb of Cottage Grove.

Highway 10 near Prescott was closed for 6 hours after the Saturday night crash.

Pierce County sheriff’s deputies said Amos failed to stop at a stop sign on County Trunk E. And his car got stuck under a semi-truck heading east on Highway 10.

A passenger in the car, a 22-year-old St. Paul woman, was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.

The truck driver, who was from Tomah, escaped injury.
