Eric Church 's band is hosting the Put a Club in My Hand Charity Golf tournament September 25 at Gaylord Springs Golf Club in Nashville. Proceeds from the event benefit the Grammy organization MusiCares, which helps musicians with critical assistance in times of need.

Members of Eric's band lost a lot of musical equipment in the Nashville flood in May 2010, and MusiCares was there to offer assistance. Now it's their turn to give back.

"I could not be more proud to have my guys step up and decide to do something on their own to give to an organization that helps so many musicians in need," Eric says. "They realized how much they had been helped and wanted to ensure other people would have that opportunity in the future."
