Taylor Swift fans will surely remember the song "Hey Stephen," from her blockbuster 2008 album, Fearless . What you may not know is that it was inspired by Love and Theft 's Stephen Barker Liles . The two acts were on the road together the summer before that album dropped, and the sparks that flew between Taylor and Stephen inspired him to write a song, titled"Try to Make It Anyway."
Stephen released a video of the song on YouTube last year, though it didn't make the band's second album disappointing many Love and Theft fans.
Stephen tells TheBoot.com , "It's not really the direction we were going for with this album, but I wanted people to have it. So my buddy was cool to let me come and make a little video."
Stephen says the album could end up on a future Love and Theft album. In the meantime, Love and Theft's hit "Angel Eyes" is included on their self-titled new album, in stores now.
