UNDATED (WSAU) A wrestler from Stevens Point has qualified for the summer Olympics in London. SPASH graduate Ben Provisor won his third and final bout in a best-of-three series at the Olympic trials in Iowa City. He lost the first round to Aaron Sieracki, but came back to beat him the second and third times to win a spot on the Olympic team.

Two other wrestlers from our area came close, but failed to qualify. Alyssa Lampe from Tomahawk lost in the finals to the 2008 world champion. And Dennis Hall from Plover lost his opening round match, and was eliminated with a second defeat in the losers-bracket.
