In case the fact that Zooey Deschanel is starring in Fox's new comedy, New Girl, isn't enough, they've now added another big name to the roster. Justin Long is joining the series for multiple episodes as a love interest for Deschanel's character, Jess. For three adorably awkward episodes (because that's Long's bread and butter, so I think it's safe to assume) Long will play Jess' music teaher, Paul.

Jess is fairly usual Deschanel territory with a twinge of screenwriter Liz Meriweather's (No Strings Attached) sensibilities added in. As a 20-something who recently found her boyfriend cheating, got dumped and moved into a loft with three dudes, she's just now finding her bearings and attempting to break back into dating. Enter Paul in episode 6 of the show's inaugural season as what we can hope will be the first of many humor-inducing relationships. Long begins shooting his little stint September 19 and New Girl premieres on Fox September 20, which means we've got a while to wait and wonder about what this little sitcom encounter may hold. We bet it will be kind of adorable.
