Michael Lohan appeared in a Florida court on Wednesday (26Oct11), where he faced domestic violence charges following an arrest at Major's apartment on Sunday (23Oct11).

Judge Walter Heinrich set bail at $5,000 (£3,125) and sternly told the reality TV star he'd put him behind bars if he continued to ignore an order to stay away from his ex.

Lohan claimed he had picked up an intoxicated Major and drove her back to her home. She alleged he grabbed her and pushed her down multiple times during an argument.

Major has a temporary domestic violence injunction against Lohan.

Angered by Lohan's refusal to stay away from his former girlfriend, the judge asked his lawyer, ""Can he not read?""

Meanwhile, on the other side of America, Lohan's troubled daughter served a second day of community service at the Los Angeles County Morgue. The actress must complete four days there before her next probation hearing on 2 November (11).
