FALL CREEK, WI (WTAQ) - Wisconsin has two more confirmed cases of whooping cough.
They were in the Fall Creek area, where Eau Claire County health officials have informed parents of school students.
Superintendent Joe Sanfelippo told Eau Claire's WEAU-TV that the cases were confirmed last week.
Southern Wisconsin has had a larger than normal number of whooping cough cases. There were 12 in Milwaukee last month -- twice the normal number for November.
Racine and Menomonee Falls have also had cases.
Whooping cough is a bacterial infection affecting the respiratory system. It's generally treated with antibiotics.
