Michael Bay's third Transformers installment is the first in the hugely successful action franchise to pull in $1 billion at the box office, and is now only the 10th film to do so.

Dark of the Moon joins other high-grossing blockbusters including Avatar, The Dark Knight and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
