Sheriffs: Oshkosh Man Killed by Accident Crossing Hwy. 41

by

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WTAQ) - Authorities believe an Oshkosh man was killed by accident when he was crossing the Highway 41 expressway just before midnight on July 12th.

Winnebago County sheriff’s captain Steve Verwiel said 23-year-old Aaron Kessen was at a bowling center earlier in the evening, and he might have crossed the highway to return there.

He said there’s no evidence so far to show that Kessen might have taken his own life. But he said toxicology test results are still pending.

Court records show that Kessen had appeared in court the day of the accident on felony charges of child abuse. He had been free on a signature bond.
