WAUSAU, Wis (WSAU) - There was an evacuation near the Third Street reconstruction project this afternoon after work crews accidentally nicked a 2 inch gas line under the road around 12:30.

Businesses and apartments were evacuated for about a half hour while crews patched the leak and made sure what gas in the area had dissipated. Bartender Jaine LeGault from Loppnow's says the evacuation was nice and orderly, and that the crews were quick to get them back into their job.

Service has been restored this afternoon.
