Other Details
Our school song "Fight for Dear Ole' Athens" is an original composition. It was written by a former instructor for Athens. No one else has their own school song as Athens does.
In 2001, Athens High produced a music student (Scott Hein) so talented that he composed a symphony for the senior band. He arranged music for each instrument including the conductor. The senior and band instructor (Patty Riske) were so impressed that they practiced and played his piece for the spring concert. To this day, he has a career in music.
