Spend Some Time At The Ballpark This Week

I've got a low cost entertainment idea for you this week. Come on out to Athletic Park in Wausau and watch some of the best high school baseball players battle it out with a trip to the State Legion Baseball Tournament on the line. Wausau Post 10 is hosting the Region 2 Tournament Wednesday thru Saturday featuring the Bulldogs along with Stevens Point, Plover, Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids and RSW (DC Everest). Games will run at 1,4 & 7pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with the championship games at 4 & 7 on Saturday. Admission is $5 per day...12 & under free. No carry ins but concessions will be available. The schedule for the double-elimination event looks like this...

Another winning event is the Sid Kyler Jazzfest being held again at Bull Falls Brewery this Friday and Saturday. Lots of great music both inside and out and you can raise a toast and remember Sid who passed away a couple of weeks ago. His band will be playing Friday night at 8 under the big tent.
