Brewers Roll Dice, Come Up Snake-Eyes

by Tom King

Brewer fans realized going into the season that any success the team would have depended on their starting pitching. After trading Zach Grienke, the team had little veteran presence behind Yovanni Gallardo. They were going to rely on unproven youngsters like Willy Peralta, Hiram Burgos and Mike Fiers. Even with the late spring signing of Kyle Lohse, the team was relying on young pitchers. Well the roll of the dice has crapped out. The starting pitching has been absymal...and even Gallardo isnt pitching like the ace he's supposed to be. The Brewers are in last place for a reason and I'm not really seeing much cause for optimism. You arent going to win much when youre playing from behind almost every night and when your bullpen has to pitch 4 &  5 innings every game. It looks like its going to be a long, hot, unhappy summer at Miller Park.

The Woodchucks will open the season at home tonight against Green Bay. Jim Sannes returns to the broadcast booth and I will join him for tonight's opener and other selected home games during the season. You can hear all the games on Foxsports1390 & FM 93.9. The pre-game show begins tonight at 6:15 weather permitting.

You can also meet Bill Michaels tonight. The "Big Unit" will be at the game and meeting fans. You can hear Bill's show every weekday morning on Foxsports AM1390 & FM 93.9.

Lover Rollercoaster-Ohio Players (1975) here's a live version of the funk classic...it isnt as polished as the studio version...but to see them live is to know what mid-70's funk was all about

Love Shack-B'52's (1989) I prefer the earlier work of this Georgia band...but this big hit is an infectious treat too
