Before his death in 2003 at the age of 71, Johnny Cash left his mark on American music. He is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and now will be honored with his own stamp. According to BeyondThePerf.com, the Man in Black's image will grace a "Forever" stamp that the U.S. Postal Service will issue later this year as part of its new Music Icons series.
Featuring a photo of Johnny that was snapped by Frank Bez during a session for the 1963 Ring of Fire: The Best of Johnny Cash compilation, the stamp is square and designed to resemble a 45-rpm single.
I can't wait until the stamps are available, I'll definitely buy them to use on all my mail.
