Taye Diggs and his wife actress Idina Menzel spent Sunday night (1/27) at the Screen Actors Guild Awards only to come home after to an intruder breaking into their home.  Police say Diggs, 42,  his wife and children were inside their home around 11pm when Diggs confronted the intruder, who then fled the scene and subsequently twisted his ankle.

Diggs chased the intruder and held him until police could arrive. 
Officials say the intruder did have a getaway driver, but he fled the scene.

Diggs and family were not injured during the incident.

Thank goodness the family wasn't hurt!
