A former Melrose Place actress, who also starred in movies such as Cry-Baby and School Ties, was driving drunk when her SUV plowed into a car and killed a woman has been sentenced to three years in prison. Her blood-alcohol level was almost three times the legal limit.

Amy Locane-Bovenizer was facing up to 10 years in prison after she was convicted of vehicular homicide in November. The crash happened in Montgomery Township, NJ as 60 year old Helene Seeman's husband was turning into their driveway in 2010.
The victim's husband yelled, "What a travesty!" at the judge after Thursday's sentencing, and he and his son stormed out of the courtroom.
The judge lowered the maximum sentence citing the hardship on Locane-Bovenizer's two children. One has a medical and mental disability.
The actress apologized to Seeman's family.
