Blue Bloods Star Calls Out CBS For "Shameful Behavior"

Jennifer Esposito is on a leave of absence from the CBS drama Blue Bloods, though the reason why is a matter of debate between both parties.

CBS TV Studios tells Deadline.com that Esposito, who plays Detective Jackie Curatola on the show, informed it she is only available to work a part-time schedule. The studio's statement continues, "As a result, she's unable to perform the demands of her role and we regretfully had to put her character on a leave of absence."

Esposito, who suffers from celiac disease -- an autoimmune disease -- claims there's more to the story than what the studio stated.

In a series of tweets over the weekend, Esposito wrote:

"CBS knows PUT me on unpaid leave an has blocked me from working anywhere else after my doc said u needed a reduced schedule due to celiac. CBS didn't listen to my doc and I collapsed on set. Which everyone saw! After a week off my doc said I could return to work but CBS Implied that I was NOT truly ill and this was a scheme to get a raise! It's been almost two months without brining me back to work + keeping me from working anywhere else! So no that article is not telling you the truth. Absolutely shameful behavior."

Deadline notes Esposito's final episode of Blue Bloods for the foreseeable future will air November 2.

She is my favorite part of the show, I'm VERY disappointed. Do you watch Blue Bloods?
