Sammy Kershaw says he is thankful to be alive and that he had "a guardian angel" after his tour bus was struck by another vehicle Friday (11/2) in Nocana, Texas.
Kershaw and his band and crew were traveling at a high speed down the interstate when they were struck by another vehicle. The impact caused major damage to the driver’s automobile, as well as to the singer’s bus. The driver of the car was hospitalized with injuries. Kershaw and the nine members of his band and crew were shaken and sore but not seriously hurt.

In a statement, Kershaw says "Buses and cars can be replaced but people can't." No one died, but Kershaw says it could've gone the other way. “My guys and I are a little sore today. The third day is always the worst. Buses and cars can be replaced, but people can’t. I’m so thankful that the other driver, my band and crew are all still here. We had a guardian angel.”
Is it just me or has there been an awful lot of stories involving country singers and bus crashes this year?? Both Justin Moore and Bucky Covington survived bus crashes this year and Lee Brice and Jerrod Niemann were both on their tour buses when they caught fire. Not a good year for tour buses!
