David Nail sustained a slight fracture in his right ring finger Saturday while playing in the City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge in Nashville. David tweeted a shout-out to the doctors at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center's ER for getting him bandaged up. He added, "Gonna be one handed for while."

David also took the injury as a sign to take it easier on the ball field. He tweeted, "This is a lesson to not play like you're 18 when you're 33!"

Scotty McCreery, Carrie Underwood and Brantley Gilbert also played in the City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge Saturday. The event raises money for the City of Hope's efforts in cancer research.

At least he's still smiling! :)
