Eric Church had a million reasons to celebrate at his platinum album party for Chief in Nashville Monday. Members of Eric's band, crew, management team, record label staff and more gathered at the Marathon Motor Works venue to toast Eric's success.
After receiving the platinum album plaque, Eric told the crowd, "I just want to say that there are moments, I think in your life when you want to pause and go, 'Is this my life?' And this is one of 'em."
In addition to the plaque, Eric's record label, EMI Nashville, also presented him with platinum sunglasses, a box of custom cigars from Nashville's Uptown Smokes and a bottle of Jack Daniel's with a platinum label. A label rep told Eric that was the first time Jack Daniel's had ever made a platinum label for one of their bottles.
Eric also celebrated his back-to-back #1 hits "Drink in My Hand" and "Springsteen" at the party. He thanked the people who work with him for showing a lot of passion in support of his music in the six years since his debut album, Sinners Like Me, was released.
"The fact that we all believe in something, and it's gotten this level is, I think, a testament to sticking to your guns and believing in the music," Eric said.
