Keith Urban and Taylor Swift have joined the line up for this Friday's Hope For Haiti Now benefit concert. All of the major networks plus CMT and tons of other channels will carry the program live to raise funds for the relief effort in Haiti following last week's devastating earthquake. Keith will join Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow for a group performance, and both he and Taylor will be performing live from Los Angeles.
Other stars taking part in the event include Bruce Springsteen, Justin Timberlake, Sting, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Steve Wonder, Bono, Jay-Z, and Rihanna. All of the performances from Hope for Haiti Now will be available on iTunes for 99 cents on Saturday with all those proceeds as well going to the relief effort.
George Clooney will host the event's broadcast from Los Angeles while Wyclef Jean anchors New York City. CNN's Anderson Cooper will also be checking in from Haiti. Money raised from the event will be split among several organizations aiding the Haitian relief effort, including the Red Cross, the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, United Nations World Food Programme and UNICEF, among others.
What an amazing event this is going to be...I hope you will watch and donate. I plan to. ~Vanessa
