Now that American Idol has started up again, the folks at Mediabase have done some analysis to determine which Idol contestants have gone to be the most successful at radio. Kelly Clarkson is number one according to radio spins, which isn't surprising since she was the first Idol winner. Kelly's songs have been played on the radio nearly 3.8 million times. Carrie Underwood did quite well herself, with nearly 1.7 million spins. More than 500 thousand of Carrie's plays come from her monster hit "Before He Cheats."

I'm on Team Clarkson though this Underwood girl is growing on me.  ~Vanessa
