Tobey Maguire isn't discouraged by the reported script problems that have delayed production on Spider-Man 4. He remains hopeful that the sequel will open sometime in 2011. The movie was scheduled to premiere on May 6th, 2011, but that will likely change now that Marvel has pushed up the release of another superhero film, Thor, to the same date.  Despite the production problems, Maguire believes there is a lot of "great stuff" to work with within the script. He reminds fans, quote, "These movies are a very big undertaking and take a lot more time than a drama or something straightforward."
