I’m not a coffee drinker, never have been. I also wasn’t into tea either unless it was a cold glass of iced tea on a hot summer day every so often. A few weeks ago I read an article on green tea and how unbelievably good it was for you. I had already planned on kicking off the New Year with a healthy new attitude, a TON more water, way less caffeine, an exercise routine, cutting out junk food and some other healthy choices so I thought why not add green tea to the mix. I’m sooo glad I did because I found out I love it and really enjoy drinking it every day! I have flavored green tea’s in the morning and decaffeinated teas in the afternoon and evenings and my body is happy with me. Check this out if you are on the fence on trying green tea…

With winter approaching, people are lining up to get flu shots. Drinking plenty of green tea may protect you from the flu virus due to its L-theanine, which also promotes relaxation and relieves stress and anxiety.
Coffee should be 'green' with envy over all of the amazing attributes behind green tea! Green tea does contain caffeine, so it's the perfect substitution for coffee's kick. If you want to consume several cups of green tea daily, look for a decaffeinated variety to enjoy.
There are also many varieties of green tea drinks offered at popular coffee chains. Try one on for size instead of sticking with your usual latte or black coffee. Your body will thank you!
