Tim McGraw's film with Sandraw Bullock, The Blind Side, picked up an Oscar nomination for Best Picture Monday morning, but Tim almost passed on the project. Since he'd already done a football movie with Friday Night Lights and a family film with Flicka, Tim was looking for something darker and edgier for his next role. Tim read through a ton of scripts before finally getting around to looking at The Blind Side, and he says, quote, "That's the one that hit me...I thought it was a great story. It had a lot of heart." Sandra Bullock is also up for Best Actress for her role in The Blind Side.
The fact that Tim is in The Blind Side at all is due to good timing. Since he's still a busy recording and touring artist, Tim only has a certain window of time each year to shoot a movie. He's now filming Love Don't Let Me Down with Gwyneth Paltrow in Nashville. Right after that, he launches his Southern Voice tour on February 11th in Omaha, Nebraska with special guests Lady Antebellum.
I hope The Blind Side wins every Oscar it is nominated for, I loved it, it was moving. ~Vanessa
