Dierks Bentley shares with Azcentral.com that he thought he had experienced "all sides of love" until his daughter Evie came into his life. Dierks explains, "I had my heart broken as [bad as] it could be. I was losing weight, my hair was falling out, I was on my knees at church just trying to find some solace but I've also been on the other end of love where you can't imagine loving someone more, that would be my wife, so you think you've covered all that ground and all of a sudden a kid comes along and a whole new universe opens up."

He goes on, "The feelings you feel when you look at the kid's face and they start saying 'da da,' it blows your mind."

Bentley loves being a father. He says, "It's kind of like a club you gotta be in and once you're in the dad club, there's no words needed to describe how cool it is."

As far as Evie's mom goes, Dierks says that when he reconnected with his eighth grade crush Cassidy in 2005, there was no turning back. He reveals, "The second she walked on the bus, I knew right away that we were going to get married - got married in December of that year, so it's a pretty cool story."
