Lady Antebellum's chart-topping hit "Need You Now" has been certified platinum by the RIAA for sales of over one million. The track is the lead single off the trio's sophomore album, Need You Now, which is due out January 26.

Fans will be able to purchase new material off the project before its release as part of the band's iTunes Countdown. "Need You Now" and "American Honey" will officially kick it off starting December 21. Thereafter, one new track will be released at iTunes each week leading up to the album's January 26 debut. (The iTunes Complete My Album service allows customers to turn their individually purchased tracks into a complete album by giving them a full 99 cent credit for every song they have previously bought from that album.)
