Dierks Bentley Drunk Texts Alison Krauss

Dierks Bentley

Dierks Bentley will be the first to tell you it's dangerous to drink and text at the same time. Recently, on a long bus trip from Nashville to Iowa, Dierks and his bandmates were having a few Bud Lights and engaging in a battle of who could play the saddest song from their respective iTunes collections. Dierks went for the Alison Krauss weeper "Forget About It" and decided to text her about it.

A few days later, Alison texted him back asking, "Did they hurt or did they help?" Since they'd had a few cocktails that night, Dierks didn't remember texting Alison about their little contest. After a few texts back and forth, Dierks finally remembered what she was talking about and wrote Alison saying, quote, "I'm so sorry. I'm so embarrassed. Yes, it did help because our goal is to get as lonesome as possible, and your music causes that. So, thank you."
