Earlier this week I told that Garth Brooks has filed a 500 thousand dollar lawsuit against an Oklahoma hospital for breach of contract. According to court documents, Garth gave Integris Canadian Valley Regional hospital in Yukon, Oklahoma the half million dollars to name a new facility after his later mother, Colleen Brooks. The hospital never included that facility in its plans for an expansion project, so Garth is suing.

A rep for the hospital tells TMZ there has simply been a misunderstanding and they're hoping for a "swift and amicable end." That might be tough, though, according to a rep for Garth, who tells People magazine, quote, "This deals with his mother, the home town and the people he grew up with and is deeply personal."
