Kenny Chesney is celebrating some big milestones as 2009 comes to a close. First up, his latest release, Greatest Hits 2, has been certified gold for sales of 500 thousand copies. That set features Kenny's latest hits "Out Last Night" and "I'm Alive," with Dave Matthews, as well as the classics "Young" and "Anything But Mine." His first Greatest Hits continued to sell well years after it was released, and Kenny wants to see that happen with Greatest Hits 2 as well. He says, quote, "I hope they're gonna keep buying this one for a long, long time 'cause I want this music to remind them of all the great things they've lived with us."

Of course, Kenny's tours have put his music on the map in huge way, and that's where the second milestone comes in. Even though he keeps his ticket prices below those of most other acts, Kenny has come in at number three on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the decade's top-grossing touring artists. Only Dave Matthews and Celine Dion brought in more cash, but Kenny says, quote, "To me, it's not about where I rank, but knowing the chunks of their lives those fans have shared with me. Now that's what this whole crazy ride's about."
