Blizzards Suck.

driving in snow storm

I’ve been seeing a lot of people on Facebook and Twitter writing about how excited they are for the huge snow storm that is almost here.  Yet again I’m going to go against the cool kids and say I am NOT happy about this snow storm.  Not so long ago I did not mind the light flurries falling in central Wisconsin as I knew they weren’t going to stick around and make a big mess on the roads, but this snow fall is completely the opposite.  I drive quite a way to work every day and am on the road for over an hour one way when it comes down to it, so the miles add up quickly and there is more opportunity for mishaps on the road.  I may drive safe and slow but there are so many tools on the road who do not drive safe and slow and that totally bites.

I’ve been getting emails from my meteorologist friends telling me to be prepared to not head in to work in the morning as there is a possibility that snow crews won’t be able to keep up with the snow fall, drifting and dangerous conditions we are expected to see.  Way to get me all anxious, nervous and scared to be on the roads I wrote back…they ALL replied that the National Weather Service is saying to not drive tomorrow unless absolutely necessary so I should be anxious, nervous and scared.  Ugh.  I’m planning to go with the flow and see what the morning brings.  If my car makes it, it makes it.  If it doesn’t make it, I turn around and spend the day at home.  Either way, I’m ready for what the blizzard may bring.  I hope.  I think.  Maybe.  We’ll see.  WDEZ Club Bonus is Blizzard.
