It didnt take long for the first Cinderella candidates to emerge at the NCAA mens Basketball Tournament. 14th seeded Harvard knocked off #3 New Mexico while a couple of 14 seeds Oregon & California both moved on as well.

Marquette barely advanced, coming from behind to nip Davidson 59-58 on a last second Vander Blue layup.

It will be a Badger doubleheader today as the hockey team stayed alive at the WCHA Final Five yesterday in St. Paul. They beat Mankato State 7-2 and will face St. Cloud today . You can hear the game on WSAU following the basketball game.

Mike Fiers got knocked around yesterday against the White Sox as Milwaukee continues to try and solidify its starting rotation. Yovanni Gallardo will go today against the Cubs.

I'm adding a little music to my weekend...heading to Stoughton to see Karla Bonoff in concert. Bonoff was part of the 70's singer-songwriter movement and wrote many songs that became hits for people like Linda Ronstadt and Bonnie Raitt. She also released a number of solid albums of her own. She is playing the Stoughton Opera House (sort of their version of the Grand Theater).
