The Milwaukee Bucks havent had a player in the All-Star game for years. Not since Mike Redd was at the height of his powers. This year it looked like the drought might come to an end. Both Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis have put up numbers that should qualify them for the game. You can even make the argument that Larry Sanders should have got serious consideration. The team has played well and is in a solid playoff position. But, it doesnt matter...once again the coaches snub the Bucks and no one will playing in the game. Hopefully they will us the slight to motivate them even further in the second half of the season and show the country what this team can be as it heads into the playoffs. The East isnt that tough. The Bucks have beaten most of the teams that is ahead of them in the seedings including the Heat, Bulls & Pacers. Let's see what happens down the stretch.
The Bucks play at Cleveland tonight.
Two former Brewers are moving on. Shawn Marcum has signed with the Mets and Nyger Morgan will take his act to Japan. It will be interesting to see how the Japanese fans like Tony Plush.
You can hear Badger hockey tonight on WSAU. The Badgers host Alaska-Anchorage.
I see that the documentary film on the Eagles that was shown at the Sundance Festival last week is scheduled to be shown on Showtime in February. It's supposed to be a no holds barred look at the contentious life of one of the biggest bands in music history.
I'll have high school hoops for you tonight as the Wausau East Lumberjacks host Stevens Point. if you want to see two of the most dynamic young players in the state come on out and check out Trevor Anderson and Sam Hauser of Spash. The freshman are leading the Panthers to a great season so far. If you cant get out to the game I'll have it live at 7:15 on Foxsports AM 1390 & FM 93.9.
Songs of The Day (from my I-pod)
Little Latin Lupe Lu-Mitch Ryder(1966) a remake of a Righteous Brothers song given the Detroit Wheels treatment and cracked the Top 30 in '66
Little Lies-Fleetwood Mac (1987) I've always loved Christine McVie's songs. The band really hasnt been the same since she retired.
