Anna Welker, the wife of New England reciever Wes Welker, called out Ray Lewis on Facebook on Sunday and then promptly apologized. Why do folks feel the need to apologize for saying things that are true. Lewis is being lauded to a ridiculous extent as he heads to retirement after the Super Bowl. He's being held up by the league and its TV partners as a paragon of virtue...a true warrior...he's being used in tv commercials and spoken about as the next great tv commentator. Not once is his questionable past brought up in the conversation. Welker posted that folks should"go to Ray Lewis' wikipedia page...6 kids...4 wives. Aquitted for murder.Paid a family off. Yay what a Hall of Fame player. A true role model". What is there to apologize for? To say that the emperor has no clothes should be encouraged. People make mistakes...people recover from mistakes...has Ray Lewis changed? Only he knows for sure. When we call BS on the diefication of a very flawed individual there is nothing to apologize for.
Poor Phil Mickelson. He says he may have to move from California and worse yet may have to cut back on his golf schedule because of taxes. I'm supposed to cry for a zillionaire because he's making to much money?? He should be embarrassed to even go public with a comment like that.
The Badgers and Michigan State square off tonight. Its an early tip...pre game at 5pm on WSAU.
The Bucks return home for a game with Philly tonight. They have been playing well under Jim Boylan.
