Things That Need To Go Away

I thought I would clean up the week by getting rid of a few things. We all need to clean out the mental closet every once in awhile so whether you like it or not...Things That Need To Go Away...

Lance Armstrong. Oprah Winfrey, Manti Te'o, his fake girlfriend, American Idol, any Will Ferrell or Adam Sandler movie, any of the Kardashians or Housewives or Swamp People or Doomsday Preppers, the NRA, John Boehner, Pitbull, Ray Lewis, almost all tv sitcoms (I'll give Big Bang Theory a pass), Autotune, middle aged men wearing sports jerseys, ED ads, Light beer commercials talking about taste, Light Beer, Mark Levin's histrionics, Gary Bettman, Ann Coulters pathetic racism, Political postings on Facebook, people wearing glasses to be hip, most Internet memes, Hip-Hop posses, Simon Cowell, Mitch McConnell, 25 MPH speed limits, 55 MPH speed limits, award shows, the NFL Pro Bowl, 3 man hoops officiating crews, Roger Goodell, Clarence Thomas, Donald Trump, Birthers, Truthers, Matt Drudge, Rex Ryan, MMA, Ted Nugent, Jay Leno, full sleeve tattoos, skinny jeans, Glenn Beck, gerrymandering, vulture capitalists, companies who hide profits overseas, no-win wars, waterboarding, Limbaugh's douchebaggery, credit card interest rates, stupid celebrity baby names, Scientology, Fox & Friends, upselling at the gas station( If I wanted a doughnut I would have bought one), going to funerals for people in their 20's,  sideline reporters, gasbag NFL pregame shows, "reality" cop & prison shows, people who say Dylan couldnt sing, and anybody who watches Honey Boo-Boo.

There, I feel much better.

The Bucks finally won in Phoenix last night. Monta Ellis and LArry Sanders led the way. They play in Portland tomorrow.

Badger hockey tonight on WSAU. Wisconsin hosts Miami of Ohio.

A triple header of high school hoops tonight on Foxsports1390 & FM 93.9. First up Wausau East at Wausau West in girls & boys basketball starting at 6...followed by the DC Everest boys at Stevens Point.

A new documentary film on The Eagles is premiering at Sundance this weekend. It deals with the formation of the band and the years leading up to their 1980 breakup. lots of archival footage and interviews. Should be good.

Songs Of The Day  (from my I-pod)

Listen To The Radio-Nanci Griffith (1988) Nanci's ode to country radio....although much country radio didnt embrace her folk-a-billy style

Little Bit Of Soul-Music Explosion (1967) a one hit wonder from the "Summer of Love"
