Need A Good QB To Win

Posted by Tom King on

Of the seven NFL teams that fired their coach earlier this week...all seven have something in common. They all have question marks at quarterback. Some more than others. You can make the argument that Jay Cutler is a decent enough NFL caliber QB in Chicago but you can also argue that the firing of Lovie Smith after winning 10 games is kind of weird. There must be something else going on there. The other teams: KC, Cleveland, Arizona, Philly, Buffalo & even San Diego have either QBS who havent been playing well or have never played well and probably shouldnt be starting in the league. I'm not sure it matters who the coach is if you dont have a good quarterback. Is Andy Reid going to make a difference with the Cardinals if he still has to trot John Skelton out at quarterback. Packer fans can count their blessings that they havent had to deal with this problem for for almost 20 years. And that should last for awhile.

Packer offensive coordinator Tom Clements is on a list of interviewees for the Bears head coaching job. The Packers cant stop any assistant from pursuing a head coaching position. They can make the Bears wait until after they are eliminated from the playoffs.

The Bucks dug themselves a hole last night...came back but fell short in losing to San Antonio at home. They host Houston Friday night.

The Badger basketball team begins Big Ten play tonight as they take on Penn State. You can hear the game on WSAU at 6:30.

I'll have high school hockey tonight as the DC Everest Evergreens take on the Wausau East Lumberjacks at Marathon Park...pre game at 7pm on Foxsports1390 & FM 93.9.

Light My Fire-Doors (1967) the signature sound of Ray Manzarek's organ and Jim Morrison's voice was evident from the start on this huge hit from their debut album
