30 Years And Counting

Posted by Tom King on

Tonight will mark the start of my 30th season coaching the Wausau American Legion Baseball team. Legion baseball is a national program and features the best high school baseball players in a summer program that runs from now until early August. The Wausau Post 10 Bulldogs are made up of players from East, West & Newman and play a rigourous 38 game schedule against teams from across the state of Wisconsin. Our first home games of the season are a doubleheader this Saturday against Eau Claire at Athletic Park at noon. I will include a schedule here in case you want to check it out. Admission is free. I hope to see you at the ballpark.

This years Post 10 squad includes Ryan Zweck, Brett Ziegel, Seth Wage, Dylan Detert, Logan Taylor, Cole Nelson, Blake Bieg, Brad Knoblock, Nick Janke, Nick Stubbe, Andrew Wolfe, Jordan Huehnerfuss, Justin Duffy, Scott Kieper, Walter Grau, Andrew Block, Chris Clementi, & Tyler Koehler.

Songs of The Day   (from my I-pod)

Jammin Me-Tom Petty (1987) could be titled "Too Much Information"...even in '87 we could be inundated with useless news for all sides. Petty co wrote this with Bob Dylan...see how many 80's celebs you can spot in the lyrics

Jamming-Bob Marley & Wailers (1977) one of the great hypnotic grooves laid down by the Wailers on a top notch album called Exodus. Stevie Wonder incorporated this into his tune Master Blaster just a few years later. Sit outside and put this on and be instantly relaxed
