The Packers prepare for the Buffalo Bills at Lambeau Field on Sunday. They go into the game a bit banged up. Injuries to the defensive line, Charles Woodson didnt practice this week...and the loss of Ryan Grant do add aup to some questions. They should be able to handle the Bills who don't pose much of an offensive challenge. The question many Packer fans are asking is should Ted Thompson bring in another running back. Aaron Rodgers said this week he thought that the Pack shoud swing a trade for Buffalo's Marshawn Lynch who has lost his starting job. Rodgers and Lynch were teammates in college and the Packers considered drafting Lynch a few years ago. You would think that Lynch or Willie Parker could certainly add more in the short-term that picking up an undrafted rookie off the Falcons practice squad.
Be sure to join the Pick Your Packer Contest and pick Team Tom (my team this week is Aaron Rogers, Greg Jennings and Tramon Williams). You could win Packer tickets. G back to the home page and join the fun.
The Badgers defense will see if all those conditoning drills paid off as they take on Arizona State Saturday at Camp Randall. The Sun Devils run a hurry up offense all the time. You can hear the game on WSAU at 12:30.
The Pointer Football also returns to action for the annual Spud Bowl at Goerke Field. they take on Missouri S&T on saturday at 1pm
A big High School Football Friday night. The big Vally matchup is DC Everest at Wisconsin Rapids...that should be a great game. You can hear that game on Foxsports 1390 WRIG at 6:30 and then I'll have the Merrill-Wausau East game as the 2nd game of our doubleheader.
Checked out the new Jimmy Smits show "Outlaw" this week. Although the premise is a bit of stretch...Smits is so good he makes it enjoyable. The other new shows I'm checking out begin next week including "The Event" , Detroit 1-8-7 (gotta like Michael Imperioli), The Whole Truth (Rob Morrow's new one) also my returning faves like Bones, Fringe and Law & Order SVU are back...all those along with Mad Men and Rubicon will keep my DVR working. I'm also considering getting HBO just for Boardwalk Empire which starts on Sunday. It's supposed to be awesome and of course Steve Buscemi is great. I never got into "the Sopranos" when they were on and this is supposed to be similar although set in the 1920's.
Was watching HD net the other night and they were showing a WHO concert from the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival. It was great to see Pete Townsend at the height of his powers and Keith Moon bright-eyed and full of energy before the drugs and booze dragged him down into the abyss.
I'm going to save this before our computr demons steal it away. Ill try to have some more music videos over the weekend or Monday for sure.
Have a good weekend...Go Bucky!
