I know...it's only spring training. But the main problem for the Brewers last season was the starting pitching...and with the exception of Jeff Suppan...the Brewer starters have been outstanding this spring. Yovanni Gallardo continued that yesterday as he retired the first 9 batters he faced and struck out 5 in four innings of work. The Brewers beat Cleveland 5-4. Greg Zaun and Alcides Escobar got their 9th RBI's of the spring. This team is going to be good...get ready for a fun summer at Miller Park.
Scott Wimmer will behind the wheel of the JR Motorsports #7 Chevy this week at Bristol and April 3rd in Nashville. He'll be sitting in for Danica Patrick who returned to ndy Car racing for awhile. The plan had been to park the car when she wasnt available but the team thinks the cars is too good to sit.
A very eclectic group went into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last night. The 25th class featured The Stooges, Abba, Genesis, The Hollies and Jimmy Cliff.
It started as a throwaway line on Sportscenter..."Fear The Deer". Now its sprouting on signs on the Bradley Center and on billboards in Milwaukee. The Bucks are hot and getting noticed. It's been along time since games in March mattered for Milwaukee. Andrew Bogut won the Eastern Conference Player of the Week honor. He's been a monster.
Songs of the Day (from my Ipod)
The Entertainer-Billy Joel (1974) his scathing take on the music industry comes from his 2nd Lp "Streetlife Serenader".
Endless Highway-The Band (1971) a lost cut from the "Cahoots" sessions later became a cut on the "Before the Flood" live Lp with Dylan. Robbie Robertson wrote it. Put on a Band LP and you can smell old time America.
