Its part of a doubleheader at the Quandt Fieldhouse. The other game is St Norbert vs Hope College of Michigan. Carthage and Whitewater will be the other teams from Wisconsin in the men's draw.

The Pointer women will play Minnesota-Morris in a first round game at De Pere. The other Wisconsin teams earning bids include Whitewater, Carthage, Northland, St. Norbert and Lakeland.

The Badger Mens basketball team moved up in the latest poll....15th in the ap poll and 17th in the coahes poll. They finish the regular season this week against Iowa on Wednesday and Illinois on Sunday.

Congrats to Owen-Withee girls basketball coach Al Guthman. He reached a milestone with last nights victory. Guthman has tied the record for wins in girls hoops at 587 and is third overall on the wins list, boys & girls included. He has coached for 39 years.

Last year Wausau East faced Eau Claire North in the sectional championship and came up short. This year the injury plagued Lumberjacks face the Huskies in a first round game. It's a tough matchup for East who have had a mjor problem scoring points this season. It won't help that North will have Badger recruit Evan Anderson under the hoop to ready to swat away anything that comes his way. I'll have the game as part 2 of our doubleheader on Foxsports1390 WRIG tonight. Game 1 has DC Everest traveling to River Falls. Wausau West has been playing well and they are a 3 seed hosting Menominee tonight. You can see all of the first round matchups in our sports section of this website.

Songs of The Day (from my I-Pod)

Early Mornin Rain-Gordon Lightfoot (1966) he recorded it on his first LP but fellow Canadians Ian & Sylvia recorded it first and brought it to popular attention. It was grabbed by many artists including Judy Collins, Dylan and even Elvis.

Ease On Down The Road-Michael Jackson & Diana Ross (1978) from the movie version of "The Wiz" which featured Ross as Dorothy and Jackson as the Scarecrow. This infectious tune filled dance floors at the height of the disco craze.
