Players in the locker room were gathered around the TV watching in astonishment as Alejandro Falla...the 65 th ranked player in the world had Roger Federer on the ropes in the first round match at the All-England Club. Falla had won the first two sets against the 6 time Wimbledon champ but in an example of what seperates champions from mere mortals...Federer clawed his way back to win in five sets. This has to give the rest of the players hope that if Federer needed five sets in what should have been an easy opening match...they have a chance going forward for the Wimbledon fortnight. Federer said he didn't feel the greatest but some how got the job done and that's all that matters. He's right...they don't give style points in tennis...and you can't advance until you win three sets.

The lightning and rain caused the Woodchuck-Rafters game to be halted in the 4th inning last night. They will resume tonight before the regulary scheduled game. Remember..tonights games are at Bukolt Park in Stevens Point...beginning at 6:05. I'll be joining the voice of the Chucks Adam Seidel in the booth tonight.

The Packers are holding their final mini-camp this week before training camp opens in late July. Tramon Williams is there after signing his contract this week. Atari Bigby is not....he's still negotiating.

Funky Broadway-Wilson Pickett (1967) The song was written and performed by a group called Dyke & The Blazers before "The Wicked Pickett" grabbed it and made it a hit. It's the first charted song that used the word 'funky' and described a street in Phoenix...not New York.
