Two big matchups in high school action tonight....The annual Kuehlman Cup hockey game featuring Wausau East and Wausau West is happening at Marathon Park. I'll have the game on Foxsports1390 WRIG at 7. West is back in the muber 1 spot in the latest poll and an improved East squad is coming off a tough overtime loss at Stevens Point Tuesday night. The Lumberjacks havent won the Kuehlman Cup in a long time...can they do it tonight? Well, the last time the two teams met East came inches away from overtime as a deflected shot just went wide at the buzzer. There has been alot of anymosity between the two programs after some transfers from East to West at the semester break last year. Hopefully the game will be more interesting than whatever happens in the bleachers.

Wisconsin Rapids hosts Wausau West on the wrestling mat tonight. Rapids is ranked 1st...West is seventh. West won a state title in 2008...Rapids won a title last year...both teams are unbeaten in the conference going into tonight's match.

The Badger men's basketball team has gone 3-1 since Jon Leuer went down with his injury. They go on the road tonight at Purdue...you can hear the game on WSAU...early start....5pm pre game...6pm tip.

The #1 ranked Pointer men's basketball team had a slow start in the 2nd half and ropped their matchup with Whitwater last night. As disappointing as that was  Bob Semlings crew is still putting together an awesome season. They host Superior on Saturday. The Pointer women won their 11th in a row beating Whitewater last night. They also host Superior Saturday afternoon.
