After the end of the Legion baseball season I've been joing Adam Seidel in the Woodchucks broadcast booth this week as the Chucks fight for a playoff spot. It's been some great baseball action as the Chucks have won 8 in a row including the amzing comeback from a 10 run deficit earlier this week. Thye play La Crosse in three games Saturday, Sunday and Monday to finish the regular season and hopefully the playoffs will begin Tuesday in Eau Claire. Be aware of a different radio schedule for the Saturday (today) game as the Chcuks will be heard on a taped delayed basis after the Brewers-rockies game on Foxsports 1390 WRIG. The Brewers game being moved to WRIG because the Packers begin the pre-season hosting Cleveland at Lambeau Field.
The PGA Championship is trying to catchup because of bad weather. My buddy Smitty is heading to Whistling Straits for Sunday's action. With more bad weather possible we will see if the competiion slides over to Monday as well.
The Wisconsin Valley Legion Baseball League named it's All-Conference team on Friday. Seth McMullen and Mike Parman of the Wausau Post 10 ulldogs were unanimous selections at SS and DH/Utility. The others are:
OF-Joey Rose-RSW, Ethan Winker-Stevens Point, Kelvin Stroik-Plover
1b-Jake Schlueter-Merrill
2b-Clay Giese-Plover
3b-Josh Barnes-Plover
C-Adam Bartlett-Stevens Point
P-Dan Britz-Wisconsin Rapids

Songs of The Day (from My I-pod)
Get Together-Youngbloods (1969) this hippie paen to brotherhood, peace and understanding didnt do much when it was first released in 1967 but broke big in 1969 after it was used in PSA by a Christian & Jewish Peace group. Jesse Colin Young later went on to a moderatly successful solo career in the 70's.
Get Up, Stand Up-Bob Marley & Wailers (1973) Marley & Peter Tosh with another reggae smash. Usually used as their concert closer. In fact it was the last song Marley performed on stage before his death.
